There IS coverage for foot care!

Unfortunately though, not for everyone, please read below to see if you qualify for coverage.

1) If you are a senior in Alberta, over the age of 65, and qualify for low income supports (Alberta Seniors Health Benefit), you qualify for $30 per month for regular foot care maintenance. You can choose to submit yourself, or I can submit on your behalf at the end of your visit. All I need in order to submit for you is your Alberta health care number, and date of birth.

2) I am currently on the "provider" list for Alberta Blue Cross, and SunLife. This means that you can submit your receipts to either of these insurance companies for reimbursement. Elligible Alberta Blue Cross plans will require a note from your physician stating the requirement for foot care, along with your appointment receipt. I am also inquiring into being added on the provider list with Canada Life, GreenShield, and ManuLife, but like all great things, they take time.

3) If neither of the options above work for you, keep your receipts! They can be used as a medical expense with taxes.
